This is a small Indian-Vegetarian restaurant located 1 min walk from Russell square underground station. I've been a few times and sadly it's almost always empty which can leave a rather strange atmosphere but this does mean that the staff really pay attention to you and really value your custom.
They do a good lunchtime all you can eat buffet for £4 which is great value. I'm always sceptical of cheap buffets and trend not to eat in ones below £10 per head, but as it's vegetarian there no worry about the suspicious meats that come with other cheap buffets.
Overall this really does give value for money, especially considering how cheap it is. Well worth a visit. -

If canned vegetables are paradise for you,
then you have come to the right place.
The house does cook these up into a series of mild curries - and the price is right.
But given the cornucopia of other offerings right on the same block -
including other vegetarian options -
I would go visiting the neighboring establishments. -

Great veg dinner buffet at a great price . We were very impressed with the spicing skills of the cook -- every dish had different intriguing flavors . So nice to get a meal as soon as you walk in the door after you have walked all day sightseeing and are exhausted . As a fanatic vegetarian it's great to not have to ask if there is any meat hidden anywhere in the food ! Lots of condiments to accompany the meal as well as the usual nan ( whole wheat -- yeah ) ,papad ,puri . 4 different sweets with great flavors also . The only complaint would be that there was only 1 type of wine by the glass ( " house " ) red or white . Overall I would highly recommend this place .

This restaurant is so quiet, I'm sure nobody realizes it is there - perhaps because it is not modernised and retains the pink tablecloths and rosy glow that are the hallmark of an Indian restaurant. The Vegetarian Paradise is a Behl Poori house, which means that as well as curries it does wonderful Southern Indian dosas (sort of like tortillas) with potato and coriander fillings and green coconut chutney. It also does the mouth-twanging starter Aloo Gobi Chat - an incredible taste sensation impossible to describe, so I'd recommend trying it.
There is a buffet at lunch time, when the restaurant is busier. The prices are excellent and there is a student discount for all you local college inhabitants. It deserves a lot more recognition! (Although I quite enjoy the fact that it's so quiet, so maybe I shouldn't be telling people about it!) -

Run, run away. I should have. But I was hungry and tired this evening and went to this "all-you-can-eat" place in Bloomsbury against my better judgment. The waiter was surly, the tablecloths were spotty, the food was nondescript. And ...the price I was charged was more than that posted on the window. Now I know why this place is always empty. Paradise Lost.
